Tingling View Point -

also known as Kawlay Dara View Point is a wonderful place to watch a beautiful view of surrounding Tea-Gardens and snaky roads pass through green slopes of the Gardens.

There are number of Tea-Gardens in the vicinity of Soureni, such as Soureni Tea Estate, Gayabari Tea Estate, Tingling Tea Estate, Singbull Tea-Estate etc offer the serenity and soothing ambience.

Mirik is 5 kms away from Soureni. The major attraction of Mirik is Mirik Lake or Sumendu Lake. The lake is around 1.5 kms long and surrounded by Oak, Maple and Chestnut trees. There is a long arch footbridge over the lake to take the full view of the lake. Boating in the lake or horse-riding by the lake are exiting. There are numerous fishes in the lake. Feeding them is equally satisfying.

There is a prominent Buddhist Monastery called Bokar Ngedon Chakor Ling Monastery in Mirik. It’s one of the famous monasteries in this region.

There is another beautiful Tea Garden called Gopaldhara Tea Estate comes in between Mirik and Pasupati ( India-Nepal border). Gopaldhara Tea Estate is one of the highest Tea Gardens in Darjeeling hills. A view point located at Gopaldhara Tea Estate called Golpahar View point, which offers the magnificent view of surrounding hills and valleys.

Pasupati Market is located around 15 kms from Mirik. It’s the border check-post of India and Nepal. Pasupati Nagar, which comes in Nepal and located 2 kms from border check-post is very famous for cheap dresses and electronic gadgets.
